Blood Cancer UK Shopping Extravaganza – Market Rasen Racecourse on 4th and 5th October!

Next week I am heading to Market Rasen Racecourse for the 34th Annual Shopping Extravagana to raise money for Blood Cancer UK!
It is one of those dates in the diary that I have looked forward to for many years now, it marks the end of summer, yet more importantly, the beginning of the Christmas Shopping Season!
When I first moved back to Lincolnshire from London, the Shopping Extravaganza was one of the first events I went to. That evening I met up with an old friend who I hadn’t seen for years and years; Amy Jobe.
Amy is now Chair of the Blood Cancer UK team in Grimsby and alongside her amazing group of volunteers, arranges various events throughout the year to raise money for the charity.
We’ve had many fabulous evenings catching up since and Amy has supported my Fred & Emily journey right from the beginning.
As well as owning and gifting many of my pieces she has welcomed me into her fabulous new venture ‘The Shop’ in South Elkington where, alongside many other fabulous local businesses, I stock my silver jewellery, (please visit – it is well worth a trip: coffee; ice cream; homemade sandwiches and stacks and stacks of local produce to choose from!)
This year, she has also encouraged me to be brave and take a stand at the Shopping Extravaganza!
The Shopping Extravaganza event is full of smaller businesses with locally made products; Born to Farm have a stall with their hugely popular clothing range, Rebecca Harrison Designs will be there as usual with her incredible artwork and Crowsticks Interiors are returning with some fabulously eye catching homeware and accessories. Usbourne Books can provide all your children’s Christmas Gifts and of course Fred & Emily Jewellery!
This is my biggest event so far and alongside all the excitement runs a significant amount of nervousness… so please pop along and say hi…..!
On the stand I will be have a wide selection of pieces, from dainty stud earrings to chunky, weighty cuffs and bangles . I’ll have the halo necklace and a selection of paperclip trace chain pendants perfect for special presents. All made by me, in my little workshop in the Lincolnshire Wolds!
And the best thing of all? The more you spend… the more money is raised for Blood Cancer UK!
Blood Cancer UK has invested over £500 million into research to beat the disease transforming treatments and saving lives. It supports those affected with advice, campaigns for better treatments for people living with blood cancer and fights to ensure they have their voices heard.
It is a great cause – so pop down for some drinks and nibbles, browse the amazing shops and help raise some money in the process!
See you there!
