All of my jewellery is handmade in the Lincolnshire Wolds using only recycled metals, this means that 100% of the silver and gold comes from recycled sources, rather than being mined directly from the ground. 

Once the metal is extracted from sources including medical products, used silver jewellery and old electronics, it is separated from other metals and melted down before being milled into wire or sheet.  Recycled silver retains all the special qualities of new precious metals, no purity is lost and all must meet strict quality guidelines set out in law.

This is why certain products require hallmarking, to protect you, the customer; it proves that the silver/gold is of the quality you are being told it is, so you can be more comfortable when purchasing.
