First Show of the Year.... Local Mini Farmers Market in South Elkington.

I’ve wrapped up the first show of the year…. it was good to back in the swing of things! Especially at a Mini Farmer’s Market held by fellow female farmer & Lincolnshire business owner Amy Jobe. The weather was beautiful & I thoroughly enjoyed getting out to chat to people about jewellery again!
My highlight? Total strangers showing me they were wearing Fred & Emily Jewellery at the time, had bought various pieces already & were keen to look for more. It’s so wonderful when you meet someone who just loves what you do!
Alongside her farming career, Amy runs The Shop in South Elkington, just outside Louth, where she sells the most incredible local produce including fresh breads, cakes, Wrights Ice Cream & Cote Hill Cheese. Amy has a stunning herd of Lincoln Red Cows & produces the most delicious meat, if you haven’t tried Lincoln Russet Beef, you really must!
Alongside the fresh produce is a section full of local artisan providers selling beautiful giftware, including of course, Fred & Emily Jewellery!
There’s also country style clothing by Born To Farm Est 2020, home interior style by Crowsticks Interiors, Wrendale Designs, Handmade by Laura, Helen Clarke Design & gorgeous bags and accessories, handmade by Worthington Walker Leather.
So if you need a gift, a card or a treat for yourself, take a look – I promise, you won't be disappointed!
We counted up at one point & within The Shop’s supplier community, there were 8 female farmers, all running independent businesses alongside challenging careers in agriculture, be it with sheep, potatoes, cattle or horses. They’re also mums, wives, sportswomen, horse riders, runners… the list goes on. If you ever need life inspiration… head to The Shop & get chatting!
The Mini Farmer’s Market was a huge success, I can’t wait for next year’s event, in the meantime, I’ll continue to support The Shop by eating all of their fresh bread, cheese & cakes!
