Now that the year has properly begun, I’ve spent the last few weeks thinking about my F&E goals for 2026.

Rather than setting huge resolutions that feel terrifying & probably won’t get completed, I’m approaching this year with intentions that feel like an exciting step for both myself & F&E.

For me, the first few months of the year are the ones when I get to be the most creative. Although I’m always thinking of new ideas, I don’t always get time to sit at the bench & develop these ideas into actual products. The jewellery calendar & the farming calendar happen to be remarkably similar (who would have thought)… lots of planning through those early, darker months, action in the spring, harvest in the summer, & then, for jewellery at least, at Christmas… chaos unfolds. I’m hoping to use these earlier months as a chance to really develop my skills & work more with wax to create new F&E designs.

This year also feels like the right time to push myself a little further. I’m planning to step outside my comfort zone with something that challenges me in the best way. With some exciting plans already in the works… watch this space!

Collaboration is another focus for the year ahead. I’m very lucky to be surrounded by lots of amazing people, businesses & makers & I’d love to make it my mission to work with new suppliers, stockists & other outward-looking businesses that share the same ethos as F&E.
